HOW DO I REGISTER?

To register for the competition: visit https://www.cybertechmy.com/smartmalaysia-register and fill in the form.

CAN I WITHDRAW?

If you would like to withdraw from the competition, you may email your withdrawal request at info@cybertech.com.my

WHEN IS THE LAST DATE OF REGISTRATION?

The last date for registration will be on the 15th August 2020.

WHEN IS THE LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION?

The last date of submission will be on 31st October 2020.

WHO CAN COMPETE?

The competition will be divided into three categories:

Primary Education (Age 7-12)
Secondary Education (Age 13 to 17)
Special Education (No age limit)

You can enter the competition in a team of up to 3 other participants on a team.

DO I NEED A SAM LABS KIT TO PARTICIPATE?

No, you don’t need a kit! The competition format is fully online without any SAM Labs kits. However, if you do have the SAM Labs kit, there is no restriction to use it and showcase your masterpiece.

WHAT IS THE THEME FOR THE COMPETITION?

For the <smartMALAYSIA> SAM Labs STEM Challenge 2020 national online competition. The competition allows any student with access to basic materials to enter. Students are allowed to use all available materials including basic materials (such as paper, pencils, markers, crayons, metal, 3D printed models; as well as building blocks from any brands readily available in the mark and other common classrooms/office supplies). If students do have the SAM Labs Kit, there is no restriction to use it and include it in their model, build, prototype, or masterpiece.

The theme of this tournament is <smartMALAYSIA> SAM Labs STEM Challenge 2020 and the challenge is to identify one problem or find a solution to modernize or advance our beloved country Malaysia. How can we make Malaysia a futuristic nation? How can you develop our society/nation (such as health, economy or social)?

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

The Project Virtual Flow-Based Programming:
All the virtual projects MUST be done in the free SAM SPACE Application to show the programme that has been created by the students for their proposed projects.

The Project Pitch:
3 minute – 5 Minute (Maximum) videos (English/Malay) on explaining their overall project developed and explaining their Sam Space Application.
The Videos MUST be done and uploaded in their personal YouTube platform.

The Story:
Write-Up or an essay of 1000 Words – 2500 Words (Maximum) on their overall projects. The SAM Space Programme (screenshots) that has been done could be paste in the write-up. The write up could be in English or Malay.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I AM A UNIVERSITY STUDENT?

No, you may not participate, however, you may request to be a volunteer to help with the competition & ceremony. You can do so by emailing us at info@cybertech.com.my . For any volunteer work, we will provide you with some freebies and most importantly, e-Certificates.
